1. Acceptance of Terms

By downloading, installing, or using Arc Companion (the "App"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use the App.

These Terms constitute a legally binding agreement between you ("User," "you," or "your") and Arc Companion ("we," "us," or "our").

2. App Description

Arc Companion is an unofficial, fan-made companion application for ARC Raiders. The App provides:

• Interactive maps with marker tracking
• Item databases and guides
• Live event tracking with notifications
• Community features (comments, shared markers)
• Player marketplace for trading

3. Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years old to use this App. By using the App, you represent and warrant that:

• You are at least 13 years of age
• You have the legal capacity to enter into these Terms
• Your use of the App complies with all applicable laws

Parental Consent: If you are between 13-18 years old, you must have parental or guardian consent to use the App.

4. Account Registration

Creating an Account

• You may need to create an account to access certain features
• You must provide accurate, current, and complete information
• You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials
• You are responsible for all activities that occur under your account

Account Security

• Choose a strong, unique password
• Do not share your account credentials with others
• Notify us immediately if you suspect unauthorized access

Account Termination

• You may delete your account at any time through Profile settings or our Account Deletion page
• We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms
• Upon termination, your access to the App will cease

5. User Conduct

Acceptable Use

You agree to use the App in accordance with these Terms and all applicable laws. You agree NOT to:

• Harass, bully, or threaten other users
• Post offensive, abusive, or hateful content
• Share false, misleading, or deceptive information
• Impersonate others or create fake accounts
• Spam, advertise, or promote external services without permission
• Attempt to hack, disrupt, or compromise the App's security
• Use automated bots, scripts, or tools to access the App
• Exploit bugs or glitches for unfair advantage
• Share or sell your account credentials
• Violate intellectual property rights
• Post sexually explicit, violent, or illegal content

Community Guidelines

• Be respectful and constructive in comments
• Provide accurate information for markers and guides
• Report inappropriate content or behavior
• Help create a positive community experience

Violations may result in: Content removal, account suspension or permanent ban, and legal action if warranted.

6. User-Generated Content

Content You Post

You retain ownership of content you create (comments, marker notes, marketplace listings). By posting content, you grant us:

• A worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to use, display, and distribute your content within the App
• The right to moderate, edit, or remove content that violates these Terms

Content Standards

Your content must:

• Be accurate and relevant
• Not infringe on others' rights
• Comply with our Community Guidelines
• Be appropriate for a 13+ audience

7. Intellectual Property

Our Rights

The App, including its design, features, code, graphics, and trademarks (excluding game content), are owned by Arc Companion and protected by copyright and intellectual property laws.

Game Content

All ARC Raiders game content, including but not limited to character names, items, locations, game mechanics, lore, assets, trademarks and logos are the property of Embark Studios and their respective owners. We use this content under fair use for informational and educational purposes.

8. Marketplace Terms

Trading Platform

The in-app marketplace allows users to list items for trade. We provide the platform only; we are NOT a party to transactions between users.

User Responsibility

• You are responsible for all listings you create
• Verify trades before accepting
• We cannot recover lost items or resolve disputes
• Report fraudulent listings immediately

No Warranties

We do not guarantee the accuracy of listings, that trades will be completed, the value or authenticity of items, or that the marketplace will always be available.

9. Disclaimers and Limitations of Liability

"As Is" Basis

THE APP IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO:

• Warranties of merchantability or fitness for a particular purpose
• Warranties that the App will be error-free or uninterrupted
• Warranties regarding accuracy, reliability, or completeness of content

Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW:

• We are NOT liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages
• We are NOT liable for lost data, profits, or goodwill
• Our total liability shall not exceed $100 USD or the amount you paid us (whichever is less)

No Liability For:

• User-generated content or interactions between users
• Third-party services or websites
• Unauthorized access to your account
• Loss of game progress or items
• Decisions made based on App information

10. Privacy

Your use of the App is subject to our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated into these Terms by reference. Please review our Privacy Policy to understand how we collect, use, and protect your information.

11. Changes to Terms

We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. We will notify you of changes by:

• Posting updated Terms in the App and on this website
• Updating the "Last Updated" date
• Sending an in-app notification (for material changes)

Your continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the modified Terms. If you do not agree to the changes, you must stop using the App.

12. Termination

Your Rights

You may stop using the App and delete your account at any time.

Our Rights

We reserve the right to:

• Suspend or terminate your account for violations of these Terms
• Discontinue the App or any features at any time
• Refuse service to anyone for any reason

Effect of Termination

Upon termination, your right to use the App ceases immediately, and your account data may be deleted (subject to our Privacy Policy).

13. Dispute Resolution

Informal Resolution

Before pursuing legal action, please contact us to resolve disputes informally. We will attempt to resolve disputes within 30 days.

Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of India without regard to conflict of law principles.

14. Miscellaneous

• Entire Agreement: These Terms, together with our Privacy Policy, constitute the entire agreement between you and us regarding the App.
• Severability: If any provision of these Terms is found to be unenforceable, the remaining provisions will remain in effect.
• Waiver: Our failure to enforce any right or provision does not constitute a waiver of such right or provision.
• Assignment: You may not assign or transfer these Terms. We may assign our rights and obligations without restriction.

16. Acknowledgment

BY USING ARC COMPANION, YOU ACKNOWLEDGE THAT:

• You have read and understood these Terms
• You agree to be bound by these Terms
• You consent to our data practices as described in our Privacy Policy
• You understand that Arc Companion is an unofficial fan app not affiliated with Embark Studios or ARC Raiders
