Terms of Service

1. The service

GamerList is operated by BrightFox ("BrightFox," "we," "us," or "our"). GamerList provides game-library tracking, backlog and journal tools, reviews, game information, interactive maps, optional gaming-account imports, and related features.

Features, catalog entries, map coverage, and third-party integrations may change as the service develops. We may modify, suspend, or discontinue a feature when reasonably necessary for maintenance, security, legal compliance, or product development.

2. Eligibility and accounts

• You must be at least 18 years old to use GamerList.
• You must provide accurate account information and maintain control of the email, Google account, or Apple account used to sign in.
• You are responsible for activity under your account and for promptly notifying us of suspected unauthorized access.
• You may not create accounts through automated means, impersonate another person, or sell or transfer your GamerList account.

3. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• Use GamerList for unlawful, fraudulent, abusive, or harmful activity.
• Upload malicious code, probe security controls, interfere with service operation, or attempt unauthorized access.
• Scrape, copy, or redistribute GamerList data or maps at scale without written permission.
• Post content that infringes rights, is deceptive, contains unlawful material, or targets another person with harassment or threats.
• Manipulate ratings, reviews, reports, subscriptions, or other service systems.

4. Your content

You retain ownership of journal entries, reviews, comments, images, lists, markers, and other content you submit. You grant BrightFox a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to host, process, reproduce, and display that content only as needed to operate, secure, and improve GamerList.

You are responsible for having the rights needed to submit your content. Public reviews and comments may be seen by other users. We may remove content or restrict accounts that violate these terms, applicable law, or the rights of others.

5. GamerList Pro and billing

• GamerList Pro is an optional auto-renewing subscription processed by Google Play or Apple.
• Pricing, billing period, and any trial terms are shown by the applicable store before purchase.
• You can manage or cancel a subscription through your app-store account. Cancellation takes effect according to the store's terms and does not normally refund the current billing period.
• Deleting your GamerList account does not automatically cancel a store subscription. Cancel it through Google Play or Apple first.
• Refund requests are handled under the applicable store's policies and mandatory consumer law.

6. Third-party services and content

GamerList may display game names, artwork, descriptions, map data, prices, reviews, links, and account information obtained from users or third-party providers. Third-party content may be incomplete, delayed, unavailable, or inaccurate.

When you connect Steam, PlayStation, Xbox, Google, Apple, or another provider, that provider's terms and privacy practices also apply. BrightFox is not responsible for an independent provider's service, content, availability, or account decisions.

7. Intellectual property

GamerList software, branding, design, and original service content are owned by BrightFox or its licensors. Game names, artwork, trademarks, and other third-party materials belong to their respective owners. GamerList is an independent product and is not endorsed by or affiliated with game publishers, platform owners, or map providers unless explicitly stated.

These terms give you a limited, personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable right to use GamerList for its intended purpose. They do not transfer ownership of GamerList or third-party intellectual property.

8. Account suspension and deletion

You may delete your account at any time by following the GamerList account-deletion instructions. We may suspend or terminate access when reasonably necessary to address serious or repeated violations, fraud, security threats, legal requirements, or harm to the service or others.

9. Disclaimers

GamerList is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis to the extent permitted by law. We do not promise uninterrupted availability, error-free operation, complete catalog or map coverage, or that third-party information will always be current or accurate. Interactive maps and user content are informational and may not reflect every in-game update.

Nothing in these terms excludes warranties or rights that cannot legally be excluded in your jurisdiction.

10. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, BrightFox will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for loss of data, profits, goodwill, or opportunities arising from your use of GamerList. Where liability cannot be excluded, it will be limited to the greater of the amount you paid BrightFox for GamerList during the preceding 12 months or the minimum amount required by law.

11. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms to reflect service, legal, security, or business changes. We will post the updated version here and revise the date above. Material changes may also be communicated in the app. Continued use after an update takes effect constitutes acceptance where permitted by law.
